Privacy policy

We collect the minimum we need to match you with creators nearby, run bookings, and pay people. Here is exactly what that means. Effective 9 August 2026.

What we collect

Account details — name, email, profile photo, bio, and for creators your rate, services, equipment and portfolio images. Location — the area you set on your profile, an address you enter for a booking, and, if you are a creator who turns on availability, your device's coordinates while you are online. Activity — bookings, reviews, and the messages you send on a booking. Payment metadata — amounts, status and identifiers from Stripe.

We never see or store full card numbers. Card details go directly to Stripe. Signing in uses a code emailed to you rather than a password, so we hold no password either.

Location data

Public discovery pages show an approximate area, never a precise address. A creator's precise coordinates are visible only to a client who has an accepted, in-progress or delivered booking with that creator, and only while the position is recent. Turning availability off stops the sharing.

A booking address you enter is shared with the creator you booked once they accept, since they have to get there.

How we use it

To show creators near you, run bookings and payouts, send transactional email about your bookings, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Who else receives your data

We use a small number of processors to run the service. Each receives only what its job requires:

Supabase — hosts the database, authentication and file storage; it holds essentially everything above. Stripe — payments and payouts; it receives your card details directly, plus the name and email attached to a transaction. Google Maps Platform — receives an address as you type it, to suggest and geocode it. Lovable — its AI gateway receives the text of your profile bio if you use the "rewrite my bio" button, and nothing else. Amazon CloudFront — serves images and static files.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

How long we keep it

Account and profile data is kept while your account exists. Bookings, payment records and the messages attached to them are kept for seven years after the booking, because they are tax and dispute records. Live location is transient and is not retained as a history.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, messages and personal data; it is blocked while you have a booking in progress, so finish or cancel those first. Records required for tax and dispute history are retained as described above, and reviews you wrote remain but are detached from your name.

To request a copy of your data, or to correct it, email support@creatornear.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority — and we will never treat you differently for exercising any of these.

Children

CreatorNear is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has an account, email support@creatornear.com and we will remove it.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy materially we will say so by email or in the app before it takes effect, and update the date at the top. Questions about privacy, or a request under any of the rights above: support@creatornear.com.
